Dr. Howard & Beth Hoekje Conservation Scholarship

The Audubon Outdoor Club of Corpus Christi is investing in the next generation of environmental scholars working to preserve our ecological heritage in the Coastal Bend.

This scholarship is open to students demonstrating an expressed interest in conservation or related field at one of the following local institutions of higher education:

• Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi

• Texas A&M University- Kingsville

An undergraduate junior or senior from each institution will be awarded a $1000 scholarship and one graduate student from each institution will be awarded a $500 scholarship.

Funding

The total amount awarded ($1,000 undergraduate junior/senior or $500 graduate student) will be disbursed in two payments (Fall and Spring semesters) and will be managed by the Financial Aid office of the relevant institution.

Eligibility

The successful applicant will be a student in good academic standing enrolled in a program leading to a career in conservation, wildlife management, environmental sciences or related fields.
