Volunteer Day- Packary Channel Sanctuary

Join us at Leah’s Pond at our Packary Channel Sanctuary for a morning of grounds maintenance. Among the tasks we expect to accomplish is the removal of overgrown sunflowers, guinea grass, and possibly some cattails.

Be sure to bring a pair of work gloves and clippers (including loppers) if you have them. Don’t forget water, sunscreen, and bug spray.

To get to the Sanctuary, head past the large Oak motte at the entrance to Packary Channel County Park. Take the first right onto Sand Dollar Rd, then the first left onto Villa Maria Isabel. Leah’s pond (and the wildlife sanctuary) will be on the right-hand side of the road.
