Libby Even leads a trip to the Welder Wildlife Refuge.

We will meet up with the staff at the front gate on U.S. Hwy. 77 about 7 miles north of Sinton, at 8:00 a.m. The staff will guide us through the property until 11:00 a.m. and we will then have our lunch al fresco. 

Be sure to bring your binoculars, lunch, water, bug spray and a snack if desired. Wear comfortable walking shoes.

The property boasts an extensive collection of bird skins (including the extinct Heath Hen and Passenger Pigeon)  bird eggs, art works by celebrated wildlife artist Francis Lee Jaques, and much more.
