Black-billed Cuckoo at Packery Channel Oak Motte Sanctuary

Karen Smith and Judith Reader were visiting Packery Channel Oak Motte Sanctuary on Thursday, April 23rd, looking for the Black-billed Cuckoo that had been reported being seen at the Sanctuary. After no success, we walked to the end of the boardwalk and visited with Fran Hermanson, a visitor from Marshalltown, Iowa.  As Fran left, she remarked on a strange looking bird on a wire across the street. Surprise!  It was the Black-billed Cuckoo.  Everyone was able to enjoy seeing the bird.  Thanks, Fran.  That was a great find!
